BRAMPTON, Ont. — Of the 18 people arrested in 2006 for planning a “Terror Plot” in Toronto, four have pleaded guilty, seven have had their charges dropped or stayed, one youth was found guilty, one man's trial began last week and four others will be tried in March. Toronto 18 member Shareef Abdelhaleem was found guilty Thursday of plotting to bomb financial, intelligence and military targets. The defence elected to call no evidence on the issue of guilt or innocence on charges of participating in a terrorist group and intending to detonate bombs, a spokesman with the Public Prosecution Service of Canada said.
